Homemade: The Cookbook

Rebuilding East Ninth St and Epicenter teamed up to create an artist exhibition that included the culinary arts. My role was to plan a four course free community meal for 300. With the pandemic in the spring, all of the artists had to retool their projects. For me that meant stretching food like I know how. A 300 in-person four course meal turned into 1,500 meals for people in need and counting. By organizing other food security workers, we were able to provide breakfast packets and a hot meal every week for six weeks averaging about 70 meals per week. We have provided an additional 800 meals since the end of the The Cookbook project.
